In the midst of the hustle bustle that is Noosa, here is a restaurant that does casual and relaxed well. A relatively small restaurant with super friendly, unflappable staff, there is nothing better on a sunny day than to pop in here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Coming from the beach in your thongs, swimmer's hair or dressed up for a special occasion, you will be treated in the same welcoming, smiling way. This is true, laid back, beachfront dining with delicious, fresh food. Make sure you book ahead of time as it is not easy to get a table on the spur of the moment.

There is an emphasis on fish and seafood but there are meat and vegetarian options too. Some of the dishes are ideal to share, for example, the Taste of the Sea whilst others, if you are like me and don't always like to share, are best enjoyed alone. The linguine with chilli, prawns, mussels, and cuttlefish was one of those dishes where I was reluctant to share even a small taste. It was the perfect dish, the pasta al dente, the seafood super fresh, and the sauce and its heat from the chilli just right. The menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner can be found here .

Food is served from 6.30 am until late, whether it be breakfast, brunch, afternoon snacks or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and from wine list complement the menu offerings. Sparkling wine served from 10 am is available for those special breakfasts or just because.... There is also a kiosk attached to get that caffeine fix or for baguettes, cakes, fish and chips and burgers to enjoy on the beach or boardwalk.

Staff are very friendly, accommodating and fun; unflappable is the order of the day even when pressured into finding a non-existent table for lunch. Corporate or family events can be organised too, check out the packages here .

Boardwalk Bistro is perfect for sunny days but even when it's raining it is the best place to enjoy watching clouds, rain, and people with umbrellas walking on the beach. And all the while enjoying the yummy fresh food. You never know, by the time lunch has finished the sun may be out and you can go for a walk in the Noosa National Park , a beautiful walk on the clifftops alongside blue sparkling coves and dramatic rocks.
