Are you a lover of, appreciator of, or addicted to great coffee? Perhaps even all three? Do you like supporting your local small businesses? If your answer is yes to both questions, then you're in luck, because Bne Pop Up is now up and running. Bne Pop Up is a mobile coffee cart (although it's actually a trailer!) run by a lone barista (slash owner) that has recently opened its doors to customers on the south side, serving great coffee from Monday to Friday, bright and early at 6am up to 11am for those who have the luxury of enjoying a little sleep in on weekdays. Bne Pop Up can currently be found at the carpark of Yimbun Park in Sunnybank, along busy Padstow Road - it's a great little park with facilities to suit all members of the family, dogs included.
A one-man business, Eddie, founder of Bne Pop Up and originally a painter by profession, always had a dream of opening up his own cafe where he could serve coffee brewed to perfection to the general public. However, despite spending over a year and a half tirelessly searching for the perfect spot for a small cafe (either on the south side to be close to home or near the City), Eddie had no luck - so he decided to open his own mobile coffee cart instead. And so Bne Pop Up was born!

The Soy Cap and Flat White we ordered from Bne Pop Up were equally amazing - they were literally perfection in a takeaway cup. From the heavenly aroma, to the smooth creamy texture, and of course, its heavenly taste, Bne Pop Up's coffee has achieved perfection down to a tee. Bne Pop Up brews their amazing coffee using beans from Allpress Espresso, a coffee roaster and espresso specialist. Allpress was established by Michael Allpress in New Zealand back in 1986. 14 years later, Michael made an ambitious move to Australia in 2000, in partnership with Tony Papas, a lifelong friend and well-known Sydney restaurateur. "Our geographies are widening, but the founding qualities of Allpress are kept close. Allpress people remain dedicated to producing the best coffee and providing friendly, knowledgable service."
On equal footing with their amazing coffee is founder and lone barista Eddie's impeccable service - Eddie was extremely welcoming to all customers, and always up for a chat, despite being busy making coffees, and despite it being really early in the morning. It's hard to find a more friendly and polite barista, and next to impossible to find a barista who was so grateful to all his customers' support, whether it be their first time or tenth time visiting. As a testament to Eddie's customer oriented service, Bne Pop Up already has multiple regular customers who continue to come back for their daily wake up shot of caffeine. Come back every day, and Eddie just might remember your order off by heart!
Minimalistic theme, but still beautiful nonetheless.
Note: Bne Pop Up are currently located at Yimbun Park in Sunnybank on a three month trial on weekdays (with the possibility of a nine month extension), but are looking to expand into the market scene in and around the Brisbane area. Follow them on Instagram for updates regarding the next locations!
