Watch SA's finest in action
We love our cycling in Adelaide, both as participants and spectators. Now that Tour Down Under and the National Track Championships have finished for 2014, it's time to switch our attention to BMX riding.

Even if you aren't a BMX rider, you'll be familiar with the sport. Racers burst out of a starting gate and tear hell-for-leather around an off-road track with an assortment of jumps and turns. The best riders are strong, fast and have awesome bike handling skills.

Three of the four men in the 2013 elite BMX squad were from SA, so it's something we excel at. Who can forget the thrill of watching South Aussie's Sam Willoughby bring home silver in the Individual Men's BMX at the London Olympics?

To see top BMX racers in action, head to the 2014 SA State BMX Championships on the 15th and 16th of February. It's at The Cove BMX Club, Hallett Cove and entry is free.

The Cove BMX club is located at the western end of the Cove Sports & Community Complex, just off the Lonsdale Highway at Hallett Cove.

Over 500 riders have entered, including current world and state champions will be in action. South Australia's best will be challenged by over 100 riders from interstate.

It sounds like a great family day out.
