For Father's Day, I wanted to step it up a notch and show Dad how much he means to me. The only problem, I was pretty low on funds. I was still determined to make this Father's Day a great one, so I put on my researchers cap and took to the computer. I eventually found a cruise around the Gold Coast Broadwater canal and river. For $29 you get a 1 and a half hour sunset river cruise with commentary. Now for the even more awesome part - once the cruise is finished, you get a dinner included, at the well-known Titanium Bar. You can choose from Rump Steak, Chicken Parmigiana or Battered Snapper, all served with garden salad and chips.

At 3.30pm, we arrive at Titanium Bar, to pick up our boarding passes and put in our dinner request. After that, we went on a leisurely stroll to Lionel Perry Park, where the cruise departs. When the boat arrived, we got our picture taken and I already knew from the moment the staff greeted us in a cheeky and fun manner, this was going to be an afternoon to remember.

Being the first on-board, we went straight up to the top deck of the boat and secured a good seat. Once we took off, my family and I were ready for our first drink. Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks were served and at a decent price, for a small bottle of Yellowglen sparkling, it cost me $5.00.

My dad loved the cruise! We learnt interesting facts about the Million Dollar Houses (and got really jealous), Restaurants, Hotels and Schools we passed. As the sun slowly set and we enjoyed another drink, I knew I had gotten dad a great Father's day present. We took about a gazillion photos and had a great bonding session.

I got the Chicken Parmigiana for dinner and my gosh, it was massive. My father got the Battered Snapper and that was huge too, we felt like Kings at a Royal dinner. They were tasty meals and a nice end to a lovely day.
