Photography that sheds a new light on Industry
Bluescapes is an exhibit by Reiner Spliedt at the INDE Artspace, Level 4, 119 Kippax Street in Surry Hills.

INDE is more than just a gallery, and supports the collaboration between artists, architects, and designers, with the public through events such as Bluescapes. This exhibition forms part of the Head On Festival, Australia's largest photo festival.

Bluescapes is a fresh look at Sydney's disappearing industrial heritage. There are about 30 photographs in the show, and locations include White Bay Power Station and Cockatoo Island. The works are often in blue and black, and Spliedt finds "cold tones and harsh shapes in these images evoke the difficult and sometimes down-right dangerous conditions that were the norm when these sites were operational."
