Event:
The Bluebird Artisan Market, a monthly market held in Leura, is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday, October 6th 2012 and all are invited to attend the festivities.

This special birthday edition of The Bluebird Artisan Market will be held at its usual home, The Alexandra Hotel in Leura, and in addition to the multitude of wonderful handmade arts, craft, jewellery, clothing and homewares on offer, there will be a range of entertainments, and for the very first time, creative workshops for the whole family to enjoy.

Some of The Bluebird Artisan Market stallholder highlights include Pulford Pottery, who are known for gorgeous handcrafted ceramics and Cufflinks made by Sand, creators of stunning range of handmade cufflinks for men and women. Plus there is Poppy & Belle, where you will find adorable vintage inspired clothing and accessories and Third Eye Jewellery, run by Jessica and Jed, who turn natural stones into one of a kind earrings, necklaces and rings.

Once you have trawled through the many stalls, you can relax at The Alexandra Hotel with a pub lunch and enjoy the entertainment on offer, which will include a live music performance by local resident band, The Honeystompers, and facepainting for the children. You can also participate in one of the creative workshops hosted by the local artists. There will be a dorset button making workshop and a knitting and wool spinning workshop. To participate in either workshop, you will need to register your interest, either through the The Bluebird Artisan Market Facebook profile or contact Fiona Murray via email . Each workshop is priced at $35.

It is also worth noting that The Bluebird Artisan Market is held on the same week as the Leura Gardens Spring Festival - so if you are looking to escape the city this Spring, head on down to Leura on October 6th and enjoy the best that the Blue Mountains has to offer.

The Bluebird Artisan Market is a monthly event; held on the first Saturday of each month. Please see the Facebook profile for details.
