They've moved and eggplant chips are no longer on the menu
Bluetrain has moved to modern new premises in the middle of Southgate. Almost everyone knows Bluetrain, it's always bubbling with people coming and going. Last time when I dined there it was at its old location and I can vaguely remember the staff wearing T-shirts that said something to that effect that they were about to move. So I was intrigued to see what it was like when I went back this weekend.
Well the menu has changed and the eggplant chips are gone but the vibe still remains the same. The staff are as friendly as before. We actually got there at 10.30am only to find that it didn't open until 11am. At least there's plenty to do in Southbank so we returned half an hour later. It seems strange that on the CBD side of the Yarra everything would have been well open by this time.

If you haven't been, make the effort to go. No matter how many people are joining you there's plenty of space, plenty of variety and it's suitable for all ages.
