The Blue Mountain Winter Magic Festival is back on Saturday 21 June in Katoomba. This year, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever with artists, musicians, dancers, drummers, choirs, market stalls, and community groups gathered in the town centre. So invite your family and friends and head to Katoomba for the day to discover the magic.

Look forward to the Grand Parade because it's guaranteed to be a magnificent spectacle. There are going to be over 500 participants from all walks of life and all ages lining the streets of Katoomba with vibrant costumes, musical instruments, flags, signs and anything you can think of.

Expect lots of colours, sounds and a spectacular sight. The parade commences at the intersection of Lurline and Waratah Streets at 11.30 and continues along Waratah Street before turning into Katoomba Street. Then participants will march along Main Street before turning into Parke Street.

This is a wonderful people parade that everyone should participate or you can join other visitors in lining the streets to see the parade. So put on your winter woolies and your incredible costume and see you on the day. Click here to apply for your place in the parade.

For the festival's 21st birthday bash, a deadly program packed with the most incredible entertainment and activities has been organised to entertain festival goers. Anticipate old favourites and buzzed about upstart. This is the place to witness fabulous local talent, let me tell you.

The main act for this year's festival is the terrific four-piece band, The Crooked Fiddle Band. The energetic music will have all festival goers singing, dancing and having the best time. Other bands making an appearance include The Valeries, Fade In Mona Lisa, Music of Joy, Fire Down Below and Edema Ruh. Plus there will be choirs, dance groups, guitar workshops and heaps of others. Click here to see a sneak peak of the program so far.

What better way to start your exciting day at the festival than a scrumptious breakfast at the Family Hotel on Parke Street. The Poets Breakfast features various sensational poets combined with a big dose of lyric whimsy. With the likes of Brian Bell, Gregory North, Lou Steer and Natalie Muller, you'll start the day laughing.

Wit so much happening at this festival, you are guaranteed to have the best time. So make sure you save the date!
