Life puts us under so many stresses; work, study, training are just a few and sometimes you know you need to take that time out but the question is how do we do this? There are a few simple ways we can do this but one truly unique and amazing way to have that 'me time' or a treat yourself and that someone option.
One way is to head on down to Blue Lagoon Float and Spa previously known as Blue Lagoon Wellness Centre were a unique range of health and wellness treatments are available. Rocky and his team are absolutely amazing, every time I book in for a session I am greeted by a friendly voice or message and his smiley face as I walk in the door for my appointment, he is also knowledgeable about alternative treatments and happy to have a good chat and share his wisdom. Therapies provided include floatation therapy, oxygen, facial, body treatments and massages.
Meditation Chairs are the best thing I have ever come across
My personal favourite is the floatation therapy, now it's a little bit different and the concept is hard for some people to get their head around and I was sceptical to start off with as well. So let me briefly describe to you what happens during 'float session'. You are allocated an amount of time 1hour gets the best result, in which you float in a specially designed tank filled with an Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate solution) in which you feel a weightlessness experience and an ever so buoyant experience. You get that feeling of deep relaxation mentally and physically it's great at relieving any aches and pains in your body. But I struggle to find the words to describe how amazing you feel once you walk out of Blue Lagoon.
Another unique treatment Blue Lagoon offers is the oxygen treatment in which some benefits include a boost in energy levels and relieve stress and pollution, where you can sit for a facial or an oxygen inhalation session. The session we partook in contained a citrus flavour oxygen mask, the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in and a relaxing guided meditation.
