After a week of busy working life, it is time to relax during weekends. Want to getaway from city life? It is time to go to the nature to enjoy your lovely weekends with your family.

Blue Gum Walk, a not so difficult bushwalking trail that can be finished by 2 hours near Hornsby train station will be a good deal for you and your family.

It is a circuit trail so that you can start and end your walk at the same place. With walkable distance from Hornsby train station, you can simply take a train from the city to here.

Stepping out from Hornsby train station and Walk through Dural Street, Quarry Road and you can see a sign at the left that takes you to the track for Blue Gum Walk, which will be the same track as Great North Walk at the start. Be careful of the mountain bikes as nearby there are multiple Hornsby Mountain Bike Trails.

Passing through many tall blue gum trees, you will be amazed by the bountifulness of the environment. You can stop by and have a good rest and hear the sound of streaming water of the river. With little bit of uphills along the trail, it is a pleasure to hike with average walking speed and enjoy the nature around it.

Direction: Following the Blue Gum Walk signs will be good enough to guide you through the circuit trail.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing and sports shoes/hiking shoes

What to bring: Some snacks and enough water for the 2 hours hike and with a beautiful mind
