, or Kurangga, is one of the parks of the Adelaide Parklands located just south of the city. It is home to many different sporting and outdoor activities such as petanque, biking, netball and basketball.
Petanque has been played here since the 1980s. It is a rather interesting sport requiring just gravel and a couple of balls. The aim is to throw your ball as close as possible towards the target ball. Competitions are held regularly at this site.
Near the Unley Road side of the park are the BMX bike tracks. There is a variety of tracks ranging from small dirt mounds for beginners to large slopes for experienced riders. It proves to be a popular spot for families with little ones as well as older children. Again, competitions are also held here.
The netball and basketball courts are publicly accessible and you are most welcome to use them. The kids can be kept entertained in the nearby playground. This playground has a historical significance in that it is the first playground ever built in the parklands!
While roaming around the park, you might notice somewhat of a creek. It doesn't always have water and is partially obscured, so do take note if you're walking off the paths.
