Western Australia is a place of beauty. With so many sights to see and so many experiences to be had, there are so many places that get overlooked. Cottesloe in particular is a place of rare wonder, from the sandy beaches to the bustling heart; it is easy to overlook a simple restaurant that is tucked away so neatly. If you are on the beach and you are looking for somewhere to admire the view or just enjoy a coffee then one of the many options is The Blue Duck Café.

The Blue Duck Café has been somewhat of an institution in Cottesloe for many years and is very popular with locals and visitors alike. Open 7 days a week, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Blue Duck Café. Early morning coffee is served from 6am and it's not unusual to see people sipping coffee after an early morning swim or run on the beach.

The view from the Blue Duck Café is simply stunning, any time of day or night, any time of year. Looking out over the white sands of the beach and the brilliant blue ocean as you eat your meal is the best way to relax. Watch the sunrise with your early morning coffee or the sunset with your evening meal; it's magical. Even on an overcast day, the view is breathtaking as the waves crash over the rocks and onto the beach.

There is a kids menu, plenty of side dishes to choose from and a dessert menu full of delicious cakes, tarts and puddings starting at just $8.00.

Located on the shores of Cottesloe Beach, The Blue Duck Café also has several set menus for special events such as Christmas, Melbourne Cup Luncheon or Valentine's Day. They also do what is called a Blue Duck Beach Box, this is a take-away meal of fish and chips, (and can include sauces, salads and drinks) that you can take away and eat on the beach.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is great, the servings are generous, there is plenty of parking and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The Blue Duck Café is the perfect place for a meal, a coffee or a function but bookings are essential as they fill up fast. The balcony at the Blue Duck Café is most popular and always booked out but the indoor seating is pretty good and with full length picture windows the view is still brilliant. The ambience is lively and it's hard to beat this restaurant if you're looking for a place to eat.
