My first experience with The Blue Bag was fantastic. This amazing cafe is akin to EAT, and Pret-a-manger in the UK and provides quick and healthy food options for breakfast and during your lunch hour that are made fresh daily.

The menu includes delightful fresh sandwiches, bagels, wraps and baguettes with exciting names such as Thai Chicken, health club and the blue burger (which includes dijon mustard, Swiss cheese, roast beef, club sauce, red onion, tomato and iceberg lettuce). The salads have such delicious options as African chicken and cous cous, falafel, and the super food salad (including Quinoa sunflower seeds, spring onions and mint topped with broccoli, fetta, red capsicum and a honey, lemon and paprika dressing).

I adore the soup which also made fresh daily. There are several types available, including lamb and lentil, red lentil, and my favourite roasted tomato - all with a fresh crusty roll.

Another delight is the yoghurt pots with natural yoghurt and toppings of muesli, almonds and honey. Other items on offer are juices, coffees, water, cakes, muffins, fruit salad and a divine array of snack bags made with chocolate pieces, almonds, dried fruit and yoghurt covered raisins.

Shops are currently located in the city on Collins Street, Lonsdale Street, Lt Bourke Street and Healeys Lane.

I have just found out about this cafe - it definitely reminds me of Pret-a-manger and EAT. They have one in Freshwater Place in Southbank too :)
