The Bloomhill Cancer Care facility was established for the Sunshine Coast community, to provide care and support for people living with cancer on the Sunshine Coast. They service the greater Sunshine Coast region, north to Gympie, east to Kilcoy, and south to Burpengary. As to be expected, they are always in need of funds to supply an extensive range of support for those in need.
Establishing second-hand shops around the coast has been one of their fundraising efforts. Whenever I spot a Bloomhill Op Shop, I always stop to check it out as they are always full of delightful treasures. And knowing I'm supporting this amazing organisation makes my purchases even more special.
So needless to say, I was delighted when they opened their 11th store in Spencer St at Beerwah, nearby where I live. I was thrilled to find a tastefully set out shop run by the very vivacious Nic, who has been associated with Bloomhill for many years. Her staff are always very friendly, making each visit a very pleasant experience.
I'm a minimalist, so whenever I find I have something not being used, out it goes. And so now it always goes to the Beerwah Bloomhill shop. But at the same time, I rarely leave the shop without something, even if it is only a much-needed storage jar or a CD for my car. Every little bit helps those in need.
