Craft Beer Heaven near The Valley
Looking for a Valley bar that isn't big and brash? Then head to the Bloodhound Corner Bar & Kitchen.
A short walk up Brunswick Street from the Valley Mall, this unpretentious bar is a great old-style pub bar with a cosy 'rustic' brick interior that is perfect for sipping a beer, wine or cocktail any time of the day. The crowd is a good mix ranging from the twenty-somethings to more mature patrons of both sexes.
The selection of craft beers is varied and ever-changing with a strawberry milkshake IPA (not a stout) on the menu on my visit …which the bartender confirmed was a bit quirky. I opted for one of the session IPAs which had a good wholesome taste. An oatmeal stout is on my list to try on my next visit as is the tasty looking menu that has a selection of Latin American plates.
