It began with blood and death. And Vicki Nelson, PI was at the scene. The victim had been brutally inhumanly opened up. Messy work. She'd had to cover the corpse with her coat. It had sort of made her feel involved. Blood Price - Daw Books

I must admit, I only came across this series only after watching the TV series Blood Ties, which I fell in love with and wanted more connection with these characters after the show got cancelled.

The main reason I enjoyed this book so much was because of the main heroine. She wasn't the damsel in distress that you'd usually see in a lot of the books out there. There's just not enough books out there that has their main character with a handicap, which in Vicki's case Retinitis pigmentosa which has her eyesight dwindling. I found the character Vicki all the more interesting as despite her handicap, she was still fending for herself and doing the best that she can. All I can say was RESPECT! But I do have a negative side is that because I watched the TV series first, I kinda knew what was going to happen next, so I think it might have ruined it a bit for me there. But one thing I was surprised about was that the TV show followed the book quite closely.

I do recommend for you all to pick this up the next time you go the library.
