Blood:Attract and Repel Science Gallery Melbourne
New Exhibition at the Science Gallery, University of Melbourne

There is no doubt that this exhibition at the Science Gallery is a little different and may not be for everyone. Science Gallery Melbourne is a dynamic new gallery at The University of Melbourne which hopes to engage people through the intersections of art and science. Planned to open fully in 2020 it is currently presenting a series of exhibitions centred around science and art. One of these is Blood: Attract and Repel. The title of the exhibition is exactly what blood can do to us; we are sometimes fascinated by it and at times repelled by it.

The exhibition is a powerful mix of arts and science taking you on a journey of scientific discovery, social taboo, and self-identity. Part exhibition, part experiment, the exhibition is curated for the curious and is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

You will be able to explore blood with all your senses and discover not only facts about blood, but also the importance of it. And you never know, you may walk away with a totally different attitude to seeing blood.
