The fifth Blokes Day Out Festival will kick off on Sunday, 30 March 2014 at Eastern Beach Reserve on the Geelong Waterfront. This public event celebrates what it is to be a man. This festival recognises men's connections with their families, friends and society while raising awareness of male health problems.
This extraordinary festival has a wonderful lineup of events. Exclusive live entertainment will incorporate performances by Geelong Sings Choir, Acabella Fellas Choir, Community Tango in Geelong and SIMMA band. An excellent array of fun activities will keep the blokes and their family and friends busy throughout the day. Some of the prominent activities will include beach volleyball, dragon boating, sailing, a rock climbing wall and a fishing workshop.
There will even be a gumboot throwing competition where the visitors will get to demonstrate their talents at throwing gumboots. The proceeds from the competition entries will go towards supporting the noble cause of the Geelong Prostrate Support Group. There will also be children's activities to get the little ones excited.
Partake of the very many activities, unwind with the free entertainment and sate your hunger with some help from the numerous food stalls.
