As all new parents quickly learn a garden rake is something that should now be kept in your broom cupboard. It is so you can clean up the LEGO after your kids have been playing with it.

But with this event, , all the LEGO gets strewn over a communal floor.

It is the huge floorspace at Deakin Edge in the Federation Square, complex.

It is a fitting place to hold an architectural based LEGO session because of its stunning architectural design, a medley of domed glass panes with views over the Art Centre spire and Alexandra Gardens.

The LEGO day is run by the The Australian Institute of Architects (Victorian Chapter).

The idea is for kids to transform the jumble of LEGO into a City of the Future.

This is great way to spend some quality time with your kids creating together.

It is best suited for children aged 8 years and over.

Children have to be accompanied by an adult and you do need to reserve a ticket as this is an enormously popular event. Last time they ran this event it booked out quickly.

Tickets will be available through Trybooking - keep an eye on [LINK=http://www.fedsquare.com/events/blocks-for-little-architects/]this space.
