If you are looking for something just a little different to do this Easter weekend, then the Blenheim Music and Camping Festival in the beautiful Clare Valley might just be what you are looking for.

BlenheimFest commenced nine years ago as a small music event for friends to enjoy, however as the festival grew the organisers wanted the event to be able to help those less fortunate. From this a relationship has developed with New Hope Cambodia and funds raised from the festival each year now go towards assisting Cambodian people including teaching them to create sustainable business.

The festival also contributes toward local causes and has contributed to the restoration of the Auburn Hall and the purchase of musical instruments for the Clare Valley High School.

This two day Music and Camping Festival is held amongst the rolling hills, luscious vineyards, drystone walls and rambling sheep of the stunning Clare Valley. This ninth Blenheim Festival will be held on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 March 2018 at 42 Sandows Road, Leasingham.

This year's festival entertainment will include West Thebarton, Mia Dyson, Karl S Williams, Ukelele Death Squad, Kelly Brouhaha, The Skeleton Club and The Shambolics on Thursday 29 March commencing at 5.30 pm and going through to 1 am.

Friday's line up includes The Black Seeds, Mojo Juju, Timberwolf, Bootleg Rascal, Z-Star Delta, Kings and Associates, Wanderers, Emdee, Amaru Tribe, Donnarumma, Akoustic Odyssey, Gorilla Jones, Headphone Piracy, Courtney Robb & Snooks Lavie, Joe Man Murphy and Trav Collins. Friday's entertainment kicks off at 12 noon and goes through to 3 am.

You can camp or glamp for one or two nights and do not even need to have your own tent. Tents include airbeds (1 x Queen or 2 x King Singles), linen, pillows (1 per person), side table, floor cushions or pouffes, floor rug, internal lighting, bottled water and mints. Showers and toilets are available within the glamping campsite. There are 2 ($320) person belle tents, or tents for 4 ($420) or 6 ($520) people available. All prices are for occupation between 29 and 31 March 2018. A $100 bond is required, which will be refunded within 7 business days after the event.

If you have your own camping gear and prefer not to rent, camper trailers, campervans and any fun sleeping vessels are welcome. Please be aware though if you are camping, once you are in you will not be able to drive out until the next morning. Showers will be available but may get busy, so if you have your own please bring it along. Day parking is available for those not camping.

There will be lots of stalls selling food, drinks and other delicious consumable goods, including breakfast on Friday and Saturday morning. There will be an ATM on site, however it is recommended that you bring cash for food and extras just in case.

Right in the middle of the two stages and between the camp site and the main area is Trumpet Lane; a busy thoroughfare with a central communal lounge, where you can relax after browsing a wide array of stalls including herbal teas, chai, face painting, henna and hair wraps and lots of goodies to eat. The Green Goat and Hill Top bar is situated in the middle of Trumpet Lane and will be home to a great selection of bands and DJ's.

Each year presale codes are emailed to those who have attended the Festival previously and joined the BlenheimFest Family. Are you part of the Family? If not, then do you want to be? First purchase your ticket to BlenheimFest, then register your attendance on the day and email Tim at [email protected]. You will need to try and convince him though that you have been before!

Tickets are $171.14 for the two-day event (29 and 30 March) or $110.09 for Friday (29 March) only and include entry and camping. Doors will open on Thursday at 3 pm for those with two-day tickets, with music commencing at 5.30 pm. Friday will see doors open at 10 am with the first act commencing at 12 noon. Discounted tickets are available for BlenheimFest Friends. Children under 12 are free.

What to bring - yourself of course, your digital or printed Eticket, ID, cash, something warm to sleep in, warm clothes for the nights, wet weather gear (just in case), hat and sunscreen, medication, drink bottle (there will be free drinking water available), torch, shoes and a good attitude.
