The Blender Studios are finally home! They have returned to their roots in a grungy factory in the heart of Melbourne's central business district.

Now they would like to invite you to come and celebrate this new studio location. Let's start off the space in true Blender fashion by giving a huge Art Party.



This will be called the Blender Studios Launch and it will take place on Friday 10th May 2019 from 6.00 pm. The address is 33-35 Dudley Street, West Melbourne.

The Blender Studios is one of the largest and longest running art studios in Melbourne's CBD. They have been going for about 20 years and making history and an alumni of hundreds of artists.



There is a lot of development in the city and amid this development of our city, Blender continues aiming to retain affordable spaces for artists in an inspiring and shared environment.

This new space has over twenty individual studios, a gallery venue and communal spaces which is actually the dance floor. There is also their own private laneway!



They will also be launching their latest venture. This will be the Blender institute and it will be launched on the night. This will be a public program of workshops running every weekend and these will be open to everyone! The Blender Studios is a significant cultural institution for Melbourne and they now have a five-year lease at the new location. This means that they can offer security to the artists who display at Blender.

The organisers are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the official launch on the 10th of May. There will be an exciting line-up in store including live music and performance art as well as full open studios of over 20 local artists for you to explore at your leisure.

Don't miss this uniquely Melbourne event! There will be beer, and you can stay for the art. The gallery exhibition will be open to the public for two weeks after the launch night.

Gallery hours [b]12 noon to 5.00 pm - Wednesdays to Saturdays.[/b] They are located at a five-minute walk from Flagstaff Station and there is no parking available on site.
