Hop on and ride the wave of Bleach*
Again the Gold Coast comes alive over 3 glorious, mega weekends in March as Bleach* celebrates our Gold Coast coastal lifestyle and culture with a festival of music and arts, featuring over 50 awesome events for all ages right across the Gold Coast. A hive of activity and a smorgasbord of vibrant artistic frenzy is set to envelop the Gold Coast.
The Bleach* festival showcases Gold Coast's best contemporary musicians and artists mixed with aerial artistry, street parties, workshops, roving picnics, theatre and performances, and yes surfing is even viewed as a performing art. I just love it!
Where do you start? Well step back on the beach, water lapping at your feet, feel the sand between your toes, take a deep breath for a minute and embrace the wave of culture sweeping over your body, mind and soul. Seriously though, my suggestion is that you go to the website and print out a printable program of events or pop into one of the Gold Coast Libraries to grab a program guide.
Here is a little tidbit of what is in store:
How does this sound? TIDE, two professional dancers smack bang on a sandbar in the middle of Currumbin carrying on their everyday work activities in an open air office. TIDE takes the notion of alternative office space to the extreme. How do these guys survive a 48 hour marathon of improvisions is anyone's guess but it sounds like fun! Friday 13 March to Sunday 15 March, viewing from Palm Beach Parklands and Currumbin Estuary.
