Music, arts, performance, dance & circus events by the beach
Running from the 4th to 20th March 2016, the Bleach Festival on the Gold Coast includes over 50 arts and cultural events.
Covering music, theatre, dance visual arts, film and circus performances this festival is a magnet for those who enjoy the arts.
For a full listing of all events over the 17 days, see the events section of the official website. A highlight is the Feast Fiesta on 5 March at Palm Beach featuring great food and good music. Running from 9 to 11 March the Somerset Celebration of Literature is presented by Somerset College. Flamenco Fire fill up the Paradise Point Esplanade on 6 March with their Circus Corridor, including workshops and performance spectacles.
There are so many talented artists and performers heading to the festival that you could never see them all during one festival. The fantastic Ben Lee is coming along to the Gold Coast, as well as the Queensland Ballet and the Cheap Fakes.
Check out the lineup schedule and see which events suit you, you probably couldn't pick just one as there is just so much to entertain here. Many of the events are free and the schedule marks which ones are recommended for children by noting them as Bleach Junior.
The festival aims to connect the community with talented artists and performers. A lot of the events are outdoors to take advantage of the gorgeous Queensland March weather and sunshine.
Head along to the Bleach Festival website and take a closer look at what the Gold Coast has to offer during the start of Autumn.
