The iconic Blak Markets at Bare Island La Perouse is back on Sunday 21 March 2021 from 9am to 3pm.Bare Island was part of the traditional land of the Gweagal and Kameygal Aboriginal tribes and is connected by a footbridge to the suburb of La Perouse.
There's plenty in store for you to enjoy with a wonderful array of native plants which include bushfoods and bush-herbs which are developed by Indigigrow, the other social enterprise arm of the charity who runs the Blak Markets. This is the place for your authentic, unique gifts, and 100% of the profits go back into Aboriginal communities.

For those of you who like to keep your hands busy, there's a weaving workshop where you can learn to weave.
