Exploring beaches during summer unveils some hidden treasures, this one in particular serves as a cliff diving stage and rock pool. It is truly amazing how nature moulds a place like this. Situated in Blairgowrie in the Mornington Peninsula, this summer cool spot offers you a rock pool that would put any 5 star hotel to shame. The water contained in the pool is a beautiful shade of turquoise.
The main attraction however is the sandstone rock that towers above the rock pool known as the '', and of course if there's a cliff with a deep rock pool below, what would any sane Aussie do? You guessed it, jump.
Van Halen's '
Jump' would be a perfect soundtrack to encourage you in making the leap.
The rock has different levels to jump from. You can start with the first level and make your way up. As always do take care when you do this.
**
HOW TO GET THERE:** When heading towards the Mornington Peninsula on Melbourne Road, turn left in St John Woods Road and head all the way down. From the parking lot make your way to Bridgewater Bay.
NOTE: Take some snorkelling gear. And heaps of sunscreen.
