Calling all ghosts, goblins, witches and zombies to Blackwood Street Mitchelton this October to join in the free fun of the .

The Mitchelton Street Festival will celebrate this spooky, kookie and creepy occasion with lots of fun activities including:

• Haunted House
• Market Stall
• Creation Stations
• Live Music
• Food and Beverages
• Street Parade
• Face Painting
• Best Costume Prize
• Best Dressed Trophy

Blackwood Street will be closed to traffic between 2PM – 7:30PM on 27 October for the event with a Street Parade running between 3pm—7pm.



Get dressed up in your scary best and even share your photos using the hashtag #blackwoodstreethalloween and watch them being shared on the Festival pages @Blackwood Street.

Halloween continues to grow in popularity in Australia having originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

Blackwood Street at Mitchelton is a major retail strip with local cafes, restaurants and small businesses. Mitchelton train station adjoins Blackwood Street.
