This Autumn, The Blackwood Players are presenting their latest production for a strictly limited season - 'Indoor Fireworks', written by British actor and playwright Arthur Macrae.This classic farcical comedy is set in 1930s England.Divorced writer Chris Barry invites a reporter to her country home for the weekend to write a piece on her life, but little does she know all hell is about to break loose. From the surprise appearance of her brother, who is angling to set her up with the local Lord, to her interfering mother, it looks as though things could not go farther wrong.Unfortunately some late arrivals in the form of the Lord, his mother, a pair of newlyweds who can't stand the sight of each other and Chris' ex-husband mean the stage is set for a very funny comedy of manners.Director Damien White describes the show as "a comedy of manners, cushions and cups of tea."The production stars Anita Pipperell, Angus MacGillivray, Scott Brokenshire, Heather Crawford, Emma Cook, Jabez Retallick, Myf Davis, Lorelle Pfeiffer, Daniel Stacey and Debbie Jefferies. 'Indoor Fireworks' will play at the Blackwood Memorial Hall every Friday and Saturday at 8pm from 27 March to 11 April 2015.There will be 6 performances only:Friday 27th March, 8pmSaturday 28th March, 8pmFriday 3rd April, 8pmSaturday 4th April, 8pmFriday 10th April, 8pmSaturday 11th April, 8pm.Tickets are currently on sale through Trybooking .
