Do you feel lucky? Why not try your hand at Gold Panning at the Blackwood Oval. Apparently, rumour has it, that there is still quite a bit of gold around the Blackwood area.

How to get there:
Blackwood is located 20 kms North of Ballan which is on the Western Hwy.

It can also be accessed via Trentham and Daylesford

Why not bring the family for a fun day out, pack a picnic, or take advantage of the fabulous Blackwood Pub fare, or the lovely food and great coffee at Martin Street Coffee Cafe.

Take in the ambience of the surrounding Wombat State Forest.

Who knows? You might strike some luck and find a nugget.

Registration is from 9am to 11am. Cost is $10, $15 for a team, and $5 under twelve years of age.
