Media Open Day is an event where Blacktown TAFE Communication and Media course students showcase their projects. There are many options for these projects such as magazines, online newsletter, media webpage, documentary, short film and newspaper. TAFE students can choose what they are interested in.
Students have weekly meetings and everyone will get their own task and need to finish on time. First, they need to choose what project they are interested in. Then they need to start collecting information about our project. After they get all the information they need, they will start their project immediately. Every student is works hard on their project; they all have an outline for their projects which they implement step by step. The draft project is due on October 18th, 2013.
When students finish their project, they need to work out how to promote their project. They have no budget, so all promotion plans have to be free and effective; the TAFE students designed posters and a webpage for promotion. At the media open day students will showcase their projects on stage and must also organise a promotional stand where guests can view our work, take samples and ask them questions.
Media Open day is on 6th November 2013 between 10am – 3pm in Blacktown TAFE conference room.
