I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Farmers and producers are bringing their goods to market at the Village Green Blacktown on the first Sunday on the month.
Blacktown Fresh Food Fair is a council initiative that is bringing quality goods and produce to the centre of Blacktown.

The stalls burst with the colour of fresh organic goods, homemade doughnuts, cakes, preserves and chutneys. There are producers selling fresh seafood, grass fed beef, free range eggs, raw pure honey, vegetables, fruit and plants. Aside from the fresh produce, there are also places to buy coffee, cakes, bagels, doughnuts and gozleme. Bacon and egg rolls are available from the local Lions & Rotary Clubs and Blacktown Council has an information stand on site.

Free face painting and a petting zoo including baby farm animals, rabbits and guinea pigs entertain the children. A talented soloist belts out some great tunes while happy shoppers deliberate over their purchases. There is plenty of parking nearby at the council, library and nearby shopping centre.
