Local organisations supported by the Blackburn North Lions include Nadrasca - a disability services organisation, Taralye - The Oral Language Centre for Deaf Children and the Eastern Emergency Relief Network.
In the extended community and internationally, support is given to organisations such as the St. Vincent's Gait Clinic, Lions Prostate Cancer Research, and Lions International Fund used to assist in disaster recovery including Victorian bush fire relief efforts.
Lions Australia is Australia's largest service club with more than 1,200 clubs in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Membership is open to men and women over the age of 18 years and of good moral character and reputation. This year is the centenary of Lions internationally.
