Black Waffle is an Ice cream Shop located on busy High Street Northcote. Launched only a couple of months ago I was surprised to enter such a large interior decked out with rustic timbers, concrete bench tops and neon signs. This place has cool vibes with plenty of atmosphere. The owners Jessica, Diana and Ahmed are super friendly and make you feel right at home.
As the name suggests, I had to try one of their black waffle cones. Made on the premises the black waffle cone is made from Activated Charcoal which has health benefits for Toxin Removal, Skin and Body Health and Digestive Cleansing.
The cones are larger than the standard waffle cones. With the texture, I could feel the deeper crevices in my hand and the smell of a freshly made cone as I took a huge bite.
There's a great selection of flavours on display with the option for vegan friendly ice cream as well, Lychee, Dark Chocolate, Mango and Passionfruit just to name a few. After sampling a couple of flavors I decided on the creamy Pistachio..Yum!
Black Waffle makes a great place for lunch or a coffee, serving up fresh bagels and homemade waffles as well. If you're health conscious then their fresh juices and smoothies are so refreshing.
If you're into ice cream and a place to chill out you have to head down to Black Waffle. They also create custom ice cream cakes for special occasions and birthday celebrations. They may not have a full range as Brunetti but their selection is worth drooling over.
This is one of my favourite classic Italian desserts. Made with vanilla custard, these are the traditional homemade Cannoli typical from the Sicilian region.. I still had icing sugar left on my upper lip as I left the shop.
