Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!

Perth City is a beautiful place to visit. Most roads are lined with historical buildings which offer a sort of "je ne sais quoi" to the city itself.

However, in the heart of the city, along St Georges Terrace one can find Black Tie Co. Cafe. Situated within the "Old Technical School of Perth" one immediately feels entertained with the combination of modern history and retro chic within a heritage site.

Personally, I found myself mesmerised with the whole environment, and could not help but feel that I was in the heart of Paris drinking coffee and eating a croissant.

The coffee itself was exceptional. I am extremely fussy when it comes to coffee and I was delighted to find out that they made my order to perfection.

The Eggs Benedict was served in style and the Hollandaise Sauce (which originates from France) added that perfect touch. Everything was cooked to perfection.

One can easily walk past Black Tie Co Cafe mistaking it for a museum. However, the outdoor terrace with chairs and umbrellas together with a modern glass door entrance, gives you a subtle hint that there is more to meet the eye. And from the fantastic reviews, I would say there is a lot more than meets the eye.

Black Tie Co Cafe
is open Monday to Sunday and offers both a breakfast and lunch menu. Coffee varies from $3.50 and breakfasts range from $6.00 (croissant with jam).

In my opinion, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely add this to my short list of must re-visit cafes.
