The Black Swamp Wetlands has a small viewing area in Shore Street, Cleveland. Although you may not want to take time out to view this destination on its own, it's something you can include if you are already in the area.

The boardwalk section is approx 50m long and gives you a glimpse into the Wetlands which is well known as a safe haven for different species of bat life in the Redlands.

You will also find other viewing areas along Queen Street. They provide great little stop-offs for a rest if you are walking or cycling around town.

If you are an environmental enthusiast you would enjoy the area in the late evenings when the Bats come out to feed. During the day you can hear different bird life singing while you cross the boardwalk.

The boardwalk has a bus stop out the front and the Cleveland train station is only a 2 minute walk away. I stopped off here with my son to show him as he has always had an interest when we drive past.

Here is what you will find when you enter the canopy of trees and bushes onto the boardwalk...
