The place is always busy with a queue often running out the door it is easy to understand why. Their delectable treats are made on the premises with love and passion.

From the minute you walk in the door you know you are surrounded but creativity and new experiences. From the Little Marionette coffee beans to the do-it-yourself toasting station to the house brewed ice tea to the chilled water tap. Every element has been thought about and precisely orchestrated to create an environment of difference and divine moments.
The kitchen is alive with busyness, situated just behind the front counter where the pastries, cakes, tarts, salads, sandwiches, quiches, baguettes and pies are all on display. Offering a selection of freshly baked gluten free and vegetarian options Black Star Pastry has mastered the art of baking. Each bite of your quiche or tart or cake simply melts with full flavour, leaving you wanting more.
A fairytale on a fork, Strawberry Watermelon Cake with Rose Scented Cream

Supremely divine sweetness and exotic blends you would not expect in such intricate masterpieces. I have to admit to trying them all and whilst they are all sublime and truly appealing to my palate, my favourite is the strawberry watermelon cake with rose scented cream with its pretty as a picture presentation. They even make this one as a wedding cake which is a sight to behold. Not overly sweet or creamy but just the right amount of sweet watermelon, nutty almond ,soft cream and a magical sprinkling of petals. It is a fairytale on a fork.
The savoury goods are just as delicious with golden pies, wholesome salads, crisp quiches and a beautiful arrangement of breads. The staff are a great advertisement for Black Star Pastry as they too embody the eclectic and exuberant feel of their products. They are most definitely proud of their work and are passionate about serving their customers with cheer and happiness. How could you not be happy working here. They even support sustainability with ethical sourcing of meats, free range egg purchases, organically made breads and the use of biodegradable and carbon neutral cups for take away coffees. Taking it one step further encouraging customers to bring in their own coffee cup and their coffee will be discounted.
