Presented by Country Arts SA, Black Screen is an initiative of the National Film & Sound Archive and is touring SA throughout National Reconciliation Week - including two metropolitan locations: Marion Cultural Centre, Oaklands Park - Wednesday night, 31st May 2017 at 7.30pm (book via email: [email protected] or phone: 8375 6855) and Hopgood Theatre, Noarlunga Centre - Friday night, 2nd June 2017 at 7.30pm (book via phone: 7009 4400).

Black Screen showcases indigenous culture and talent and opens up the platform for collaboration and discussion which is a necessary element of National Reconciliation Week.

Black Screen 2017 will screen a selection of indigenous film, including: teen romance Minnie Loves Junior (2010, G); reconciliation themed documentary Captain of the Team (2010, G); romantic drama High Tide (2013, G); ground-breaking documentary Coming Home – Aboriginal Diggers Film Residency (produced by Country Arts SA 2017); satirical short-film Mimi (2002, M); sentimental drama Nana (2007, PG); relationship documentary My Brother Vinnie (2006, M); inspirational drama One Fine Day (2013, classification TBC).
