Gallop in to Black Pony Cafe for a Beachside Breakfast
The Black Pony Café is a Modern Australian café by day and restaurant by night, located on Coogee Bay Road, Coogee.
The stylish café has an earthy and organic interior feel to it, and features dark wood tables and chairs, as well bench seating, low hanging lights, industrial furnishings and décor, and exposed bare brick walls, creating a warm tone and atmosphere.
It stands as one of the more modern and cool looking cafes on the block, with all the right touches to be popular with the locals, and popular it is indeed. The place fills up early on weekends with people queuing for tables and it's easy to see why.
Bringing sophistication and quality to Coogee's eat streets, Black Pony has a varied gourmet menu for breakfast. With interesting choices that pair quality ingredients with seasoned know-how, Black Pony delivers an impressive breakfast.
The breakfast menu offers a combination of the usual breakfasts you'd expect at any café including eggs benedict, pancakes, muesli and French toast, but with pizzazz.
Think vine-ripened tomato ragu on polenta with poached eggs, parmesan and fresh basil; the steamed asparagus with eggs and shaved parmesan on sourdough; or the buttermilk pancakes served with blueberries, ricotta paired with caramelised banana and maple-walnut praline.
