After a long walk around the lake to work up an appetite, my friend and I walked back to the Black Pepper Cafe for a well-deserved bite to eat. Situated on Beissel Street, the cafe offers stunning views of the lake along with a good meal.

Menu
The menu is not extensive, but does offer some interesting items such as Green eggs and ham, as well as Balsamic prawns and Crumbed eggplant, in addition to the normal cafe offerings. On this occasion, I didn't go with the interesting items but instead decided to go with my normal cafe order - Smashed avocado on toast, with some orange juice.

Smashed Avocado
The food came out quickly - much faster than I expected and was decently sized. There were sufficient amounts of smoked salmon, creamy avocado and crunchy toast, however, sadly I couldn't taste the feta in the dish at all. The juice was delicious and refreshing, but sadly wasn't freshly squeezed.
The service did make up for these small little faults, and overall made for a lovely brunch with a gorgeous view!
