Downright nightmare cafe
Getting our drink on

Uptown Mirdif is home to a lovely few places to lunch. Black Iris Cafe however isn't one of them.

It started with the shoddy service. Our food didn't come on time and we were all served our meals separately, which we found rather odd considering there was eight of us. A friend's 'angus burger' was awful; the bun was stale, the burger was burnt, the wedges were hard and the coleslaw was dried. The so called sausages for 'breakfast' tasted like cheap plastic, too; they were more like small hot dog sausages.

'Oriental' breakfast

Smaverage Arabian/Greek food breakfast, named
oritental' on the menu?!

They charged us for water that we didn't order, they gave us colouring for the kids (the only plus), and the coffee and orange juice was very average - supermarket standard at best.

Only come for the WiFi and nothing else. We should have spotted it because there were many other customers with their laptops who hadn't ordered much food. Clever customers.

Wouldn't come back, not least because of the hard plastic chairs we were proffered.

Black Iris Cafe

Overcharging us, we left unhappy customers and we won't be back.

100% agree with you on this, we went there once and won't go back...took forever, one friend didn't get her dish until an hour after the rest of us, and those breakfast sausages = definitely hot dogs.
Good, honest review!
