I boarded the train to the city and exited at Perth Underground. Like clockwork, I took the escalator, swiped my card and for some bizarre reason I turned right instead of left. I found myself standing before a quaint coffee shop called .



The trio behind the counter was extremely friendly and asked if I would like a coffee. Like most mornings, I started the day without breakfast. To top it off, I exchanged a few valuable minutes snuggling in a warm bed, which meant I started the day without the chance of coffee.



I stood momentarily perplexed wondering how I landed in front of a coffee shop that I never saw before. Taking hold of the opportunity, I decided to order an extra large coffee with almond milk. I doubled up on this opportunity by adding a ham and cheese toasted sandwich for only $2.50.



Service was quick, and within minutes I was walking towards the office with a fantastic creamy cup of coffee made to perfection and a warm toasted sandwich which was moist and very tasteful. A day, which I thought was turning sour very quickly, was suddenly turning into a success. I had just purchased a complete meal for under $8.00. That is a rarity in the city. Furthermore, it was one of the best meals I had in Perth, and notably, the coffee, by far, sealed the deal.



Like many restaurant experiences, a first experience is generally followed with something that is not so exceptional. As a result, I decided to test the system again. The following day, I ordered the same thing and I can now confirm that is definitely one of the best coffee shops in Perth.



can be found on the Perth Rail level, William Street Underpass, Raine Square. If you exit off Perth Underground and have swiped your card, turn right because it is the 'right' thing to do! You will find Black Honey on the right and you will most definitely be greeted by a trio of fantastic guys that is sure to turn any frown upside down.
