I write for Weekend Notes and I take photographs, usually sunsets and sunrises. Occasionally I include my photos in my articles. I like to promote Geelong, and activities around Geelong.

I went to the Black Hatt Hotel for a drink recently. For all the Geelong people out there, this used to be the De La Ville Hotel. The bar looks like it's had a revamp, it looks clean, neat and tidy. The dining area is quite spacious. There are some great paintings on the wall in the dining area, a huge tiger and a huge dragon. Henry the Mechanical bull lives there but he only comes out for special occasions.
