The annual Black Forest Primary School Fete will be held on Sunday, 30 October, from 10 am to 3 pm and will feature a jam-packed program of live entertainment and fun activities.
Entry is FREE and all students, their families and members of the local community are invited to come along and join in the many festivities.
During the all-day event, there will be a wide variety of interactive activities to suit all ages including a Paper Plane Competition, Mini Golf Course, Carnival Rides, a Jumping Castle, Guessing Games, Live Music and Performances, Market Stalls, Raffle and Silent Auction, Food and Drinks and much more!
Start your day by visiting the diverse range of stallholders and picking up a bargain or two! Room 18 will play host to the traditional Bric a Brac Stall, Room 20 will have a range of affordable toys and Room 13 will offer second-hand books. Make sure to visit Room 14, which will be selling Black Forest Primary's own Olive Oil which has been harvested by the students using the school's Kalamata olive trees.
There will also be a variety of stalls hosted by other valued members of the local community including officers from emergency services and Clarence Park Kindergarten.
With the shopping done, it's time to enjoy all your traditional Fair favourites, such as Rubber Ducks, Lucky Numbers, Floating Lemons and exclusive to Black Forest Primary, The Hungry Hippo Stall. There will also be a lucky dip and a Paper Plane Stall where parents are invited to work together with their children to create a dynamic flying aircraft. If your aircraft reaches the 'Long Distance Zone', you will be awarded a prize!
If you're feeling peckish come lunchtime, visit Room 19's Cake Stall or Room 23's Coffee and Cake Stall, where you'll find homemade cakes baked by the families of the school community. If you want a more hearty option, treat yourself to a yiros or sausage from the Room 5 and Room 10 stalls. There will also be sushi, hot dogs, slushies or other delicious snacks sold by the valued members of the school's canteen team.
During the afternoon, children are sure to be mesmerised by the fabulous entertainment line-up spread across two stages. Complete your day with a walk through the School Garden, where there will be seedlings and plants for sale at Room 15's stall. You can also have a family picture taken at Room 21's Photo Booth Stall.
Come along and enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere at the Black Forest Primary School Fete. Proceeds from this event will go towards renovating and refurbishing the school grounds, which includes building a large new play area for the Early Years Students.
