One of many tourist attractions in the area
I have often driven past this beautiful cuckoo shop in Carbarlah but finally, I had the time to stop and visit. Called "Black Forest Hill Cuckoo Clock Centre", it is famous for its handcrafted cuckoo and grandfather clocks.

Cuckoo Clock Centre

The building is lovely and I guess very German. Slightly hidden under some trees off to the side, I found this wonderful old cart with family images. The waterwheel nearby is very impressive.

I loved the doorway entrance. It gave a slight hint to what was awaiting me inside. For those who love authentic different Christmas decorations, this is the place to visit. All beautiful works of art.

However, it was the cuckoo clocks that I had come to see. Stunning creations. I was so pleased I had not come to buy any as I would have a very hard time making a choice.

Handcrafted Cuckoo Clock

Out the side of the building was a lovely wee nursery leading over to the outdoor seating area for the cafe that was next door. All under a canopy of lovely trees. Definitely a place to visit.
