On Saturday 29th October, the Lucky Cat Café at Annerley comes alive for the .

The aim of the market is to raise money for three local cat rescue groups, these being Fresh Start Rescue Inc, Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue and Kitten Kapers Rescue Inc. Groups as these do a fantastic job to save, heal, feed and find homes for lost and abandoned felines. No one likes to hear of any animal being put down, but to pay for the processes these organisations do, much needed funds are required to maintain viability.



Fresh Start Rescue Inc is a Brisbane based group who care for animals in loving foster homes until they are adopted. The organisation is 100% volunteer operated and they are always looking for extra volunteers. They do not receive any government funding or large business sponsorship.

Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue provides a range of sheltering, fostering, adoption and support services, all of which are supported by kind donations from the community. The facility has a "no-kill" policy with the majority of their work focused on rehabilitation. At present no vacancies exist until more adoptions can take place.



Kitten Kapers Rescue Inc is a group of compassion foster carers offering homes to kittens and cats until adoptions can be found. It is a very rewarding job. Prices for adoption of both kittens and cats can be found on their website.

The commences at 4.00pm and concludes at 8.00pm. Entry is a gold coin and there will be lots of activities to keep you entertained. Fresh Start Rescue Inc is holding a Vegan bake sale and sausage sizzle and proceeds raised from a huge raffle valued over $500 will be going to Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue. The Lucky Cat Café will be open to serve hot and cold drinks.

There will be free holistic cat food samples provided by Canidae Pet Foods along with other great bargains on cat care supplies from Pet City.



Local designers and artists will be displaying their wares on the night. These include Bonnie's Bathhouse , Kareki Art , Blinded by Craft Herpes , Pockycat , Julisa , Rory the Fox Handmade and [LINK=https://www.facebook.com/gabrielle.bisaro.art/]Gabrielle Bisaro's Art.

[/LINK]This is an animal friendly market; however, leashes are a requirement. Don't forget to pat a cat or kitten before the nights ends.
