Australians are a fun group of people. We'll use any excuse to take the day off or celebrate with a drink. So why not have some fun events to celebrate in September.

I have compiled a list of September events to kick off your celebrations.

1st September
- Calendar Adjustment Day
- Emma M. Nutt Day
- Nat'l No Rhyme (Nor Reason) Day
- Father's Day (AU & New Zealand)

2nd
-Labor Day
- Bison-ten Yell Day
- VJ Day (US) 1945 (celebrate the end of WWII and the end of the fighting with Japan)
- National Beheading Day (well if it happened to you, you may find it important enough to celebrate)

3rd
- American Flag 1st Flown in Battle 1777
- Another Look Unlimited Day (Time to get rid of all your unwanted clutter)
- Bison-Ten Yell Day (the imaginary creator of a series of ten battle yells, later used in football)

4th
- Newspaper Carrier Day
- Rosh Hashanah (a time of judgment and remembrance)
- National Blueberry Popsicle Day (Yum, maybe make some yourself)

5th
- Be Late for Something Day (well, if you're going to be late, why not celebrate it, perhaps begin by turning your alarm clock off and being late to work, just don't say I suggested it)
