Offering the unusual combination of Indian and Italian cuisine, is a local favourite in Bentleigh, and a great little restaurant.

Situated on prominent Centre Road, this intimate eatery is easy to find (the street number, 309, contained within its name) and offers both eat-in and takeaway service.

As you walk in the door, the first thing to hit you is the beautiful smell- a good sign that the food will be delicious. The lights are dimmed (very romantic,) lilting Indian music plays softly, and complimentary pappadums and dips are already laid out on the tables.

Customers have their pick of both Italian and Indian dishes (though I always go for the high quality Indian.) Dhal, garlic naan, butter chicken; banquets and raita and rice- the mere thought sets my mouth a-waterin'! As for the drinks: try the mango lassi. Granted, due to the busy popularity of the restaurant (particularly on the weekend,) the food will generally take at least 25-30 minutes to arrive; once you taste it, however, you'll forget all about the wait.

In addition to the great food, this place is cheap! As in, $40 for two hungry people to get totally and utterly full. It's very worthwhile to get takeaway, too- the servings are bigger than their eat-in counterparts, and there is a 10% discount if you pay cash.

Overall, is a lovely restaurant, as evidenced by the numerous food industry awards adorning the shopfront. Try it, and it will soon become a favourite.
