My family and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the wonderful hospitality of the staff at the . As a mum to 5 kids, this wonderful little sleepy park ticked all the right boxes for a quick get away with my youngest 3 daughters.

is located about 1 hour north of Newcastle near the sleepy little town of Anna Bay. They cater for all tastes from deluxe cabins with room to move to unpowered sites for those who like to get back to nature. The accommodation cost is between $35 - $120 per night.

The park has a swimming pool, mini golf and a play gym for the kids. There are 2 camp kitchens with a large dining area and coin operated barbeques. A wash bay for washing down your car or boat, and two amenities blocks with coin operated showers and laundry facilities.

Within a 2 minute walk from the park, you are at the beach. The local small shopping precinct is only a short 5 minute stroll from the park also.

Salamander Bay Shopping Village and the Nelson Bay main precinct are about an 8 kilometre drive, in opposite directions from the park.

During our stay, we found the facilities to be exceptional. The staff were friendly and went out of our way to feel welcomed and part of the park community.

If you are looking to venture out this way, whether it be one night, a week or a month, it is definitely worth a stop.
