This is an amazing cake, and I was fortunate to also try it - its a sponge cake with jam inside. This cake was made by a professional caterer who went to cake decorating classes three hours a week for two years to learn how to make amazing cakes such as this one, and already had an extensive hospitality and catering background beforehand.
The lucky recipient was my nine year old niece Jemima; you should have also seen her face when she realised this birthday cake was hers. Many nine year olds would be grateful for a simple sponge cake, let alone something as amazing as this cake art - definitely art in itself. Taken at King George Park in Rozelle.
