For the price of entry fee to , you can cool down while you entertain the kids in the spray park, swim in an outdoor pool or an indoor heated pool.

The spray park opened last summer after a $720 000 upgrade and has something to appeal to younger and older children - with a little kids area complete with tunnel slide, water slides and shooting jets, and a bigger kids/teenagers area with water canons, colourful sprinklers to run through and a mega soaker which periodically douses willing participants.

The area is enclosed with a fence to keep it separate from the pool and has large undercover picnic tables dotted through the complex. It also has a large grassed area for when there is an overflow from the picnic tables, and BBQ facilities.

There is even a wading pool for little ones. The only thing missing is a shallow pool for 3-4 year olds who are still learning to swim and can't reach the bottom of the 1.2m indoor pool. If your kids are this young and they want to play in the pool, you'll have to get in the water with them.

There are updated showering facilities which have both warm and cold water, and there is a lovely kiosk with ice creams and cold drinks for sale.

It can get very popular on hot days, but is a great deal of fun for all.
