Birregurra. Never heard of it? Where have you been? The Birregurra Festival and Art Show attracts over 10,000 people and here's why. Apart from the usual offerings of a festival such as carnival rides, animal nursery, quality handcrafts and markets, this festival is full of surprises.



Organic and local produce, including cheeses, ice-cream and olives will be up for sampling. These will go just nicely with the chocolate fountain and samples from the local wineries and breweries.

A range of A list performers and local musicians will be performing. This year Imogen Brough (from the Voice) will be starring on stage. And off stage camel rides, woodcutting and two days of dog jumping competitions are set to captivate the audience. They advertise surprises and great giveaways. I'm not sure what will top the jumping dogs!



Children are welcome and catered for. I am guessing the laser tag is for teenagers and the pets and face painting for younger children but maybe that's one of the surprises? Competitions and demonstrations will be held at the skate park all weekend. Better take knee pads.



For the older children, classic cars and the work of district wood turners will be on display. If you are a regular- this promises to be bigger and better than ever before!

Entrance is only a gold coin donation. You can't
do better than that.
